By downloading or using the ZoneScout app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
1. Disclaimer of Warranties (Crucial Notice)
ZoneScout acts solely as an aggregator and visualizer of public, open-source police and city data (e.g., UK Police, Socrata Open Data).
- Not for Emergencies: ZoneScout is NOT a real-time emergency service. In case of an emergency or immediate danger, always contact your local emergency services (e.g., 911, 112, 999) directly.
- Accuracy of Data: We do not generate the crime data. We cannot and do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of the data displayed on the map. The information is provided "as is" and should be used for informational purposes only. You should not rely solely on this app for your personal safety.
2. User Conduct
You agree to use ZoneScout only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the app to harass, stalk, or harm others.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the app's services or APIs.
- Create automated systems (bots) to scrape data from the app.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZoneScout, its developers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the app, your reliance on the data provided, or any decisions you make based on the app's content.
4. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (email and password). You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
